Article 5 - Ordering and obtaining tickets
5.1- Ordering The procedure for placing an order involves a minimum number of selection and validation stages.
1/ Once on the home page, the purchaser selects the service of their choice:
- for self-guided tours, they select the number of tickets required per price and the day of the tour in the case of time-stamped tickets;
- for mediation services, they select the theme, the day, the time if applicable, and the number of tickets required per price.
They are informed in real time when they place their order of the availability of the tickets they require. A timetable for which the number of tickets online has been exhausted will no longer appear as available. The number of identical tickets purchased in the same basket is limited to 9 tickets.
2/ The purchaser creates an account by entering their e-mail address and a password, or logs on to their account if they have already created one.
The "order summary" page is used to check the contents of the current order. As long as payment has not been recorded, the contents of the order may be modified.
3/ A summary of the entire order is displayed.
After checking their order, reading and validating these general terms and conditions of sale, the buyer then pays for their order online by providing their bank details (numbers, date of validity of the bank card and cryptogram) in a secure manner. In the event of refusal by the payment center concerned, the order is automatically cancelled.
Any payment of the order by the buyer constitutes irrevocable acceptance of the order, which cannot be challenged.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the details provided when ordering are correct.
The City of Caen reserves the right to refuse any order from a buyer who does not comply with its general conditions of sale and/or its security rules.
Tickets are non-transferable. Any duplication or reproduction of tickets is prohibited. No claim will be accepted in the event of illegal reproduction made without your knowledge. The purchaser is solely responsible for the use of printed tickets.
5.2- Printing conditions
The purchaser may print all the admission tickets contained in the order, without exception (one admission ticket per visitor), either on paper or on a digital medium.
The purchaser may print the ticket(s) ordered on the online ticketing service, either immediately after payment has been accepted, or at a later date by logging on to the personal space available on the online ticketing service at https://billetterie-chateauetmusees.caen.fr.

The museum manager may refuse access to the exhibition site if :
- he/she notices that several printouts or reproductions of the printable tickets are in circulation
- access has already been granted to the holder of a print-out or reproduction.
If the ticket holder is refused access for one of these reasons, he/she will not be entitled to any refund.
b- Downloading the ticket onto a mobile phone:
